The call for projects for the 26th edition of MUTEK, which will take place in Montreal from August 20 to 24, 2025, is now open.
Please note that this call is ONLY for:
- Artists of Canadian nationality,
- Indigenous artists residing in or originating from the territories we now call Canada,
- Foreign artists residing in Quebec or Canada
International submissions will therefore not be considered.
We are particularly interested in:
- Unique live musical performances, primarily electronic,
- Innovative digital audiovisual performances that explore the relationship between image and sound,
- Any other type of project that pushes the boundaries of digital creation or uses innovative technologies.
MUTEK’s mission is to present live musical and sound performances. Therefore, DJ mixes will not be considered.
We strongly encourage candidates to include video and/or audio recordings of their performances with their submissions. The submission deadline is January 31, 2025.
With a commitment to advancing our initiatives for parity and inclusion, we strongly encourage submissions from artists who identify as female or non-binary, Black, Indigenous, or belonging to racialized minorities and/or LGBTQIA2S+ communities or living with a disability.
